What we do
Two ways of working, one standard: digital commerce decisions made with operating experience behind them.
Board and leadership advisory
A senior adviser to the board and leadership team. Independent judgement on strategy, investment and performance, and a sparring partner for the people delivering it. One or two days a month, with a review at three months so both sides know it's working.
What it involves
- A monthly board or leadership session, properly prepared for
- Review of board papers, plans and investment cases
- Mentoring the digital leader and the team around them
- Calls between sessions when decisions can't wait
- A written review at three months
Who it's for
- Boards of retailers and consumer brands
- Founder-led businesses building their digital leadership
- Technology and service businesses selling into retail
- Investors and their portfolio company boards
Diagnostics, due diligence and strategy
Structured, time-boxed assignments delivered in sprints: an honest assessment, clear recommendations and the evidence underneath them. Every assignment is scored against the same nine areas, so findings are comparable over time and across a portfolio.
How assignments run
- Start with a Diagnostic Sprint. Two to three weeks across nine areas of digital commerce: a scorecard, prioritised recommendations and 30-day actions.
- Go deeper where the findings point. Focused assignments on the areas that matter most.
- Clear scope, clear timetable. A sprint plan and defined deliverables from day one. The clock starts when the data arrives.
- Technical depth when it matters. Where a question needs deeper technical analysis, we run it with specialist tools and turn it into a clear brief for your developers or agency.

How we work
Most relationships start with an assignment and continue as advisory. We stay deliberately small: the experience you're buying is the experience in the room, not a team of juniors. Where a question needs deeper technical analysis, we run it with specialist tools and turn it into a clear brief for your developers or agency. We advise independently and disclose any relationship that could be relevant. We also work alongside investors and larger advisory firms where the client relationship sits with them.
Start with the question, not the scope.
The best engagements begin with the problem as you see it. Tell us what needs solving, and we'll tell you honestly whether and how we can help.
